The large, Non-Profit Charities that used to support the Christian Community of Iraq have had to stop their support for them due to being defunded by our government.
What many don’t realize is that there are no welfare programs in Iraq, no Food Stamps, no Social Security, health insurance, Medicaid or Medicare. Government aid, especially for Christians, is non-existent.
The Christian area of the Nineveh of Iraq has been abandoned by the Iraqi government in Baghdad as well as the Kurdish government of the North.
Since so many larger charitable organizations have bailed on them, we are but a few smaller charities helping them and we are not able to raise funds due to harsh economic conditions at this time.
That is why what we do for the Christians in Iraq and your support for what we do for these Christians matters so greatly.
Dova International Charities, Ltd. is supporting the Christians in Alqosh via The Mar Mikha Charitable Committee of Alqosh, Iraq by sending them funds with our partner, Iraqi Christian Relief Council (ICRC), (https://iraqichristianrelief.org/), so that they can purchase the provisions that they need to celebrate this Easter season of 2025.
- $54 will provide a food basket for one family.
- Baskets will including staples like rice, chicken, oil, eggs, flour and other nutritious items.
- 100 families are in dire need of assistance.
- Multiply your donation to sponsor multiple families, bringing joy and relief to those who need it most this holiday season.
- Your support will not only provide sustenance—it will remind these families that they are not forgotten, and that they are loved and cared for by people like you.
